Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

This is Yamaha 2011 YZF-R125 Model. The R-series start here with its distinctive R-series styling, sporty performance and handling, the YZF-R125 is the perfect introduction to supersport riding.

Its liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, single cylinder, SOHC engine is tuned to deliver free-revving performance. And like all R-series bikes, it features a lightweight Deltabox frame. Linked to a cast aluminium swinging-arm, this gives the R125 class-leading handling.

Lightweight 5-spoke wheels help to minimise unsprung weight and deliver impressive roadholding, while effective stopping power comes from a large diameter 292mm front disc and 230mm diameter rear disc.

Born from MotoGP

The YZF-R1 is more closely linked to our MotoGP winning M1 than ever. Its innovative 998cc inline four-cylinder engine features a crossplane crankshaft with an uneven firing interval ensuring superb throttle linearity, giving a feeling that the rider’s throttle hand is directly connected to the rear tyre.

The new engine feels and sounds smoother than ever, emittting an unforgettable exhaust note. Pushing out 182 PS and 115.5 Nm of torque, this MotoGP-inspired engine is the most advanced powerplant ever seen on a Yamaha supersport bike.

And for the ultimate in feel and controllability, the new R1 runs with an all-new Deltabox chassis offering an idealised rigidity balance.
